Collaborations form at the Industry Board's Image Data Workshop

Last week the Euro-BioImaging Industry Board held an exciting workshop addressing the challenges and opportunities associated with image data. Thirty participants representing Nodes/imaging facilities, academia and companies in imaging field discussed hot topics such as FAIR data, meta data, file formats and bioimage archives. When asked about what was the most useful outcome of the workshop, one participant said "viewing problems from different angles" while another commented "engaging with the partners from industry and academia".

Kelly Sheehan-Rooney, Euro-BioImaging's Industry Board Coordinator, said "The response to this workshop was remarkable! We had representatives from 12 different European countries and we had a long waiting list of others wanting to attend. I think this is indicative of the importance of the topic we were addressing and the fact that this workshop was unusual in that it was driven by industry. The atmosphere was enthusiastic and friendly and it was so exciting to hear people discussing collaboration ideas together. Watch this space!"
