Euro-BioImaging Node Candidates

Euro-BioImaging will consist of a number of distributed Nodes (specialized and knowledgeable imaging facilities), which will offer those imaging technologies in which they are recognized, leading European experts. Currently, 29 Node Candidates are starting voluntary Interim Operation during EuBI Preparatory Phase II. After the launch of Euro-BioImaging legal entity (EuBI-ERIC infrastructure), Node Candidates will sign service level agreements and be formally ratified as EuBI Nodes. Read more about the selection of Euro-BioImaging Node Candidates here.

Nodes will provide:

  • physical access to imaging instruments (list of technologies offered by EuBI Node Candidates)
  • technical support and expertise
  • hands-on training of users during their visit at the Node
  • regular user training courses (levels based on available instrumentation and expertise)
  • image informatics technologies that they developed accompanied by appropriate training services
  • support with the immediate storage and processing of image data produced at the Node
  • support for project planning, additionally required instrumentation, animal facilities, wet lab space, server space, user accommodation, etc.

Who can user services of  Euro-BioImaging Nodes

Researchers at any stage of their career can request access to the EuBI Nodes by submitting their proposal for a project, which they would like to conduct at a particular Node. Access to EuBI Nodes will be granted based principally on the scientific merit of the submitted project descriptions.

The access to the Nodes and technologies they are providing will be coordinated by the Hub, ensuring a consistent level of service provided to the EuBI users by all member Nodes.
