High-speed Imaging (HSI)

High-speed imaging includes all imaging techniques capable of gathering data at very high frame rates. The commonly considered cut-off is an exposure time of 1/1000 sec or >250 frames per second. High-speed imaging allows the observation of very fast biological processes, after the data is slowed down following acquisition.
