Retinal imaging is the standard-of-care in any ophthalmic clinic, providing non-invasive access to assess the health of the retina and to perform disease diagnosis. After decades of using fundus photographs, the invention of optical coherence tomography in 1991 set the new course for a rapid advancement in imaging technology that nowadays allows visualization of single photoreceptors in the retina. This talk will explore the latest advancements in retinal imaging, highlighting current clinical applications and innovative research from retinal imaging laboratories worldwide.
