ANERIS final workshop: The Future of Marine Monitoring – Imaging, AI and Research Infrastructures

How can new imaging tools and technologies help us better understand and protect our oceans?

Join Euro-BioImaging and its Node partners from CNRS and University of Haifa in a one-day public workshop back-to-back to the 7th edition of the world conference on Marine Biodiversity in Bruges, Belgium. This workshop will showcase and discuss around the innovative approaches to marine life sensing and monitoring developed through the ANERIS project.

This interactive event will introduce participants to cutting-edge imaging tools and technologies as well as integrated solutions that will make marine monitoring more efficient, sustainable, and accessible to all. Through a series of real-world case studies, researchers and experts will demonstrate how advanced imaging tools and algorithms developed by the ANERIS partners, such as AI-based tools for underwater image restoration and automatic information extraction systems for underwater micro- and macro-organisms identification, are transforming the way we observe and acquire data about marine ecosystems.
