BNMI 2025 Symposium
When
August 19–22, 2025
Where
Gothenburg
The 4th annual meeting of the Bridging Nordic Microscopy Infrastructure, "The BNMI 2025 Symposium" will be hosted by the Centre for Cellular Imaging at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, part of Euro-BioImaging's Swedish NMI Node, from August 19–22, 2025. This prestigious event will bring together leading scientists from across basic and applied imaging research, along with key industry representatives, for three days of insightful discussions and collaboration.
In addition to representatives from multiple Euro-BioImaging Nodes, Euro-BioImaging team members Claudia Pfander and Camilo Guzman will attend this event, along with Scientific Ambassador, Bruno Stojcic, of KTH Royal Institute of Technology/SciLifeLab.
A dynamic and engaging symposium
The primary objective of this event is to create an engaging and dynamic symposium that appeals to imaging researchers across disciplines. The program will feature a compelling mix of lectures, poster sessions, and selected short talks from poster presenters, covering topics from electron and light microscopy, X-ray imaging, to advanced image analysis and machine learning. Attendees will have numerous opportunities to engage in both formal discussions and informal gatherings, enriching both scientific dialogue and networking. Sessions and speakers will focus on these key areas in imaging research, such as correlative Multimodal Imaging across multiple scales, imaging sub-cellular events at high resolution, lightMesoscopy, Smart Microscopy and other cutting-edge imaging applications.
Where to find Euro-BioImaging at BNMI
On August 18-19, you can meet Claudia Pfander, Strategic Business Developer & Industry Board Coordinator, at the pre-symposium on Smart Microscopy, organised by Rafael Camacho, a leading member of the Smart Microscopy Working Group (SMWG).
She will also be actively involved in the core facility day on engagement with industry, in collaboration with Julia Fernandez-Rodriguez, co-moderating the panels of industry representatives, including members of Euro-BioImaging's Industry Board on August 19 (Thermo Fisher, EVIDENT, Hamamatsu, ZEISS, Oxford Instruments and national representatives of Leica and Nikon).
Finally, don't miss our presentation entitled "Euro-BioImaging - another kind of “smart” microscopy" at 11:30 am on Wednesday, August 20, to learn more about the opportunities that Euro-BioImaging offers and check out our poster at the poster session later that evening.
Join us in Gothenburg for what promises to be an exciting - and educational - meeting!
