When
February 9–13, 2026
The "Brillouin microscopy for life science applications" course, organised by EMBL in collaboration with experts from several Euro-BioImaging Nodes, is aimed at researchers at all levels who are applying or planning to apply Brillouin microscopy (BM) to their research and wish to acquire more knowledge and hands-on training on the technology. It is primarily targeted towards mechanobiologists, biophysicists and biomedical engineers. However, physicists and engineers who seek to build their own BM setups are also welcome!
Modules
- Introduction to Brillouin microscopy
- Technical lectures on current state-of-art
- Project design
- Interpretation of Brillouin data
- Data analysis and visualization
- Hands-on practical training
- Applications of Brillouin microscopy
Application deadline is November 3.
