IMAGINE Workshop: Novel Optical Coherence Microscopy (OCM) for label-free non-invasive 3D imaging of biological samples
Event details
- When
- December 14–15, 2026
- Where
- Vienna, Austria
Optical Coherence Microscopy (OCM) is a label-free, non-invasive 3D imaging modality that provides fluorescence-like contrast without the need for fluorescent labels. OCM combines Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) with high-numerical-aperture optics and confocal-like detection to achieve cellular and subcellular resolution in biological samples.
This 2-day workshop will explore OCM modality using an OCM system developed in Robert Prevedel's group at EMBL. Successful applicants are encourged to bring their own samples to test the system. The workshop take place at the Medical University of Vienna in Vienna, Austria on 14-15 December 2026.
The workshop is jointly organized by jointly organized by research infrastructures EMBRC, EMBRC Belgium, MarineTraining.eu, Austrian BioImaging, and Euro-BioImaging.

Application deadline: 28 October 2026
