Plant Imaging Expert Group meeting: Dynamic Regulation of Photosynthesis in Light-Acclimated Organisms
When
September 24, 2025 13:00 CEST
Where
Online
Join us on Wednesday, September 24, at 13:00 CEST, for a webinar featuring the EIC PathFinder project Dream.
Photosynthesising plants use light energy to produce oxygen and organic compounds from water and CO2. Cultivation must therefore provide the appropriate amounts of light and water. Inefficiencies impact plant health and productivity as well as energy consumed. Given that plant cultivation is under increasing pressure due to climate change and population growth, dynamic regulation of photosynthesis is an important route to sustainable agriculture that meets global needs.
The EU-funded DREAM project is developing pioneering instrumentation and data acquisition protocols for selective sensing of the dynamics of photosynthesis regulation under various conditions. Knowledge acquired will inform a powerful dynamical model to enable tailored modulated illumination that enhances lighting efficiency.

We will welcome Ludovic Jullien (Professor), Aliénor Lahlou (Associate researcher) and Ian Coghill (PostDoc Researcher) from the Sorbonne University and ENS/CNRS who will introduce us to the DREAM project overall objectives and current outcomes.
This event will be a great opportunity to connect researchers and facilitate the exchange of knowledge and ideas on innovative methods and technologies in plant science, thus driving forward solutions to global agricultural challenges.
