We are delighted to welcome Nelda Antonovaite from Nikon, who is a member of our Smart Microscopy Working Group, to present on "Visual Programming Meets Python: More Flexibility for Device Control and Analysis".

Abstract:

NIS-Elements microscopy software offers visual programming tools for acquisition and analysis that enable users to design complex, feedback-driven experiments with ease. The integration of Python scripting further expands these capabilities by supporting external device control, custom data processing, and direct use of open-source algorithms. Combined with emerging large language model support for scripting, this approach lowers the barrier to advanced experiment design and enables highly flexible smart microscopy workflows.
