FAIR Repositories

Find the right home for your bioimage data

Explore trusted community repositories that make sharing, finding, and reusing bioimage data easier for everyone. While Euro-BioImaging doesn’t host these repositories, we work hand in hand with their teams to support and guide their development. By combining our expertise, we help these vital resources grow and adapt to the researchers needs, making it easier to share your data in line with the FAIR principles.

BioImage Archive Logo

BioImage Archive

An image deposition database for all microscopy data (from organism to molecular scale) associated with a publication. It adopts the recommended metadata for biological images‘ (REMBI) scheme to define metadata, which improves the FAIRness of the data by enhancing interoperability and re-use.

IDR Logo

Image Data Resource

IDR is a public repository of well annotated reference image datasets from scientific studies. It includes the cell-IDR and the tissue-IDR that hold high quality image datasets, that can be visualized and readily re-used.

EMPIAR logo

Electron Microscopy Public Image Archive

EMPIAR is a public resource for raw images underlying 3D cryo-EM maps / tomograms and 3D datasets obtained from volume EM techniques and soft and hard X-ray tomography.

The Pre-clinical BioImage Data public repository logo

Preclinical Image Dataset Repository

PIDAR is a public repository of metadata information describing preclinical image datasets from any imaging modality associated to peer-review publications.
