The 14th Euro-BioImaging Board meeting took place in Prague on 20–21 May 2026, hosted by Czech BioImaging. The meeting provided an opportunity for the Euro-BioImaging Directors and management team to update Board members on recent activities and discuss important strategic and operational matters.

The Euro-BioImaging Board is composed of representatives from Euro-BioImaging’s 19 ERIC members (18 countries and EMBL). Under the excellent leadership of Board Chair Professor Maddy Parsons, the Board meets twice yearly to guide the strategic development and governance of Euro-BioImaging ERIC.

Highlights of this meeting included:

  • Re-election of Maddy Parsons (UK Node) as Euro-BioImaging Board Chair and election of Pavel Hozák (Czech BioImaging) as Vice-Chair
  • Major expansion of Euro-BioImaging through Node Upgrades, with six Nodes adding a total of 31 new facilities
  • Presentation of socio-economic indicators and user access statistics;
  • Updates on participation in European Commission-funded projects;
  • Overviews of recent Euro-BioImaging activities and developments, including discussion on the Framework Programme 10 developments;
  • Presentation of the outcomes of the 1st cohort of the Node evaluation by the Euro-BioImaging Scientific Advisory Board.

We thank our colleagues from Czech BioImaging for hosting the meeting at the lovely Czech Academy of Sciences building in Prague and supporting the organisation and logistics of this event.
