BMIC meets Flanders BioImaging
In May 2026, the Belgian Molecular Imaging Community (BMIC) and Flanders BioImaging joined forces in Ghent for a two-day community event that brought…
We will host the Special Edition Virtual Pub "Imaging Organoids" on Friday, January 30, from 1-3 pm CET. It will focus on methods used to image organoid systems. As part of this event, Christian Holz, Molecular Devices, will give a talk entitled "3D Organoid Assays: Automation of Cultivation, Imaging, and Analysis" (description below). Join us to hear this and other exciting presentations introducing a range of methods used to image organoid systems - from lung buds to mini-brains.
Title: 3D Organoid Assays: Automation of Cultivation, Imaging, and Analysis
Presenter: Christian Holz (Molecular Devices)
The need for large quantities of standardized organoids can be a challenge for 3D compound screens, while their complex biology often requires intelligent sample detection and advanced analysis. Automated imaging and analysis are essential for the quantitative assessment of phenotypic changes in organoids and for increasing the throughput of experiments and screens.
We present large‑scale solutions and services for automated organoid culture expansion, 4D image acquisition platforms, and AI‑based analysis tools.
