Special Research Infrastructure Session: “Accelerating Innovation: Open Science & Collaboration by Euro-BioImaging”

Don’t miss the Special Research Infrastructure Session at EMIM 2025, organized by Euro-Bioimaging and partners. In this session, we will highlight initiatives that enhance imaging research excellence, drive scientific discovery, and innovation in biomedical research. This session will be chaired by Giuseppe Digilio, Operations Advisor at the Med-Hub, and our Scientific Ambassador Alexandros Marios Sofias, Aachen University. It will take place on March 13th from 17:45 to 18:45 CET

We will have a talk from Mangala Srinivas from Wageningen University & research, Wageningen, Netherlands, about Open Research Europe (ORE) as an open access platform for publishing research. Monique Bernsen from Erasmus Medical Center, Rotterdam, Netherlands, will give a talk about the National Imaging Community building: AMICE Core Facility. Dimitris Gorpas from Institute of Biological and Medical Imaging, Bioengineering Center, Neuherberg, Germany, will discuss the performance assessment and quality of fluorescence molecular imaging (FMI) and endoscopy (FME) technologies in oncology. Verena Pichler from University of Vienna, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Division of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Vienna, Austria, will discuss the sustainability of medical imaging. And Dario Longo from Euro-BioImaging ERIC & Institute of Biostructures and Bioimaging (IBB) of the Italian National Research Council, Turin, Italy, will give a talk about the FoundingGIDE project, coordinated by Euro-BioImaging, which aims to build strong foundations of a Global Image Data Ecosystem (GIDE) for image data exchange. 

This session is endorsed by the ESMI Study Groups.
