The Advanced Optical Microscopy Centre (AOMC) at University of Hasselt, part of Euro-BioImagingโ€™s Flanders BioImaging Node, is happy to host Jessica Aye Valdivia Pรฉrez from Centro de Investigaciones en Quรญmica Biolรณgica de Cรณrdoba (CIQUIBIC), Argentina,ย for a series ofย ๐—™๐—Ÿ๐—œ๐—  ๐—ฒ๐˜…๐—ฝ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜๐˜€. Her visit is funded by Global BioImagingโ€™s Imaging 4 All initative, which supports researchers from low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) in accessing advanced imaging technologies.

Jessica's research (funded by CONICET) focuses on how amphiphilic drugs interact with lipid membranes using advanced fluorescence techniques to uncover their biophysical mechanisms of action and guide future therapeutic design. Her visit is a great example of how open-access imaging infrastructures can foster global scientific exchange.ย

Where international collaboration meets cutting-edge microscopy

Curious about how your lab or research group can ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—น๐—น๐—ฎ๐—ฏ๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ฒ with the AOMC at UHasselt? Think of independent experiments, service experiments, scientific collaborations... As part of the Flanders BioImaging Node of Euro-BioImaging, the imaging technologies and expertise at AOMC are available to all researchers, when they apply for access via Euro-BioImaging.
