Euro-BioImaging at Nordic Life Science Days 2025
Strengthening Collaboration Across the Nordic Innovation Ecosystem and beyond
The Nordic Life Science Days (NLSD) 2025, held in Gothenburg, once again brought together an impressive mix of researchers, innovators, and industry leaders from across the life science sector. Representing Euro-BioImaging, Anne-Charlotte Joubert joined the event to connect with partners and explore new avenues for collaboration across the Nordic and European landscape.
NLSD has grown into one of the most vibrant meeting points for the life science community, offering a unique interface between biotech, pharma, medtech, ecosystem builders, and investors.
Connecting with Partners Across Europe
Throughout the event, Euro-BioImaging met with numerous partners and collaborators, including Business Turku, Kuopio Health, ESiOR Oy, SPARK Finland, Smile Incubator, Medicon Village, Biocat, Scilifelab, SGS, and representatives from Chalmers Deep Tech Labs.
Discussions highlighted the strong innovation ecosystem present in the Nordic region — particularly in areas such as artificial intelligence, neurosciences, innovative treatment, and access to funding.
Emerging Themes
Several key themes stood out during the event:
- Women’s Health: The growing focus on women’s health and femtech was encouraging, underlining a need for greater research investment. Access to imaging and high-quality data could play a vital role in supporting innovation in this area.
- Nordic Investment Potential: Discussions also pointed to the value of developing a dedicated Nordic investment fund to strengthen cross-border collaboration and innovation in health technologies. Such an initiative could help accelerate projects bridging research infrastructures, startups, and industry, creating a more connected and sustainable innovation ecosystem.
- Industry Collaboration: Research infrastructures such as Euro-BioImaging are still not widely known in the industrial sector. However, there is a clear opportunity to strengthen partnerships with companies developing diagnostics, therapeutics, and imaging tools.

A Platform for Connection and Collaboration
Beyond the formal sessions, NLSD 2025 offered numerous opportunities for informal networking & exchange. “For Euro-BioImaging, NLSD was a valuable platform to strengthen ties within the Nordic life science ecosystem and highlight the critical role research infrastructures play in supporting innovation and translational research,” said Anne-Charlotte Joubert.
Looking Ahead
Euro-BioImaging will continue to engage with Nordic innovation actors to explore joint initiatives that connect imaging technologies with industrial R&D, clinical research, and societal needs.
NLSD 2025 reaffirmed that collaboration between research infrastructures and industry is key to advancing Europe’s life science landscape — and Euro-BioImaging stands ready to support this effort.
