RE-IMAGINE-CROPS
This project received funding from the European Union / Grant Agreement Number 101187260.
The RE-IMAGINE-CROPS project is an ambitious EU-funded initiative addressing sustainable agriculture challenges through cutting-edge imaging technologies. Over the next three years, this EU-funded initiative will develop the first real-time, in-field, portable, multimodal, multiscale Positron Emission Tomography - Multiphoton Endoscope (PET-ME) technology. This development will support more sustainable and efficient crop management, addressing one of agriculture’s most pressing challenges: the overuse of nitrogen (N) fertilizers.
The Euro-BioImaging ERIC coordinated consortium includes nine partners: Euro-BioImaging ERIC and the University of Turku (Finland), BF Educational and the University of Teramo (Italy), the University of Maastricht (Netherlands), CNRS, LIGHTCORE, and the University of Lille (France), and VRVis (Austria); four of which are members of the Euro-BioImaging Node network.
The project was submitted under the EIC Open Pathfinder call and received full funding from the European Commission, with a total budget of €3 million.
The press release and the project website will be available soon.
