RI-SCALE

RI-SCALE is an EU-funded project that brings together 29 partners across Europe to tackle challenges in research data exploitation. Coordinated by the EGI Foundation, the project officially launched on March 1, 2025, and will run until February 2028.

RI-SCALE’s primary goal is to enhance the computational and AI capabilities of Research Infrastructures (RIs) through:

1. Scalable Data Exploitation Platforms (DEPs) that improve data accessibility and usability.
2. AI frameworks and models that integrate into DEPs and operate on large-scale RI and Data Spaces datasets.
3. A distributed Competence Centre offering knowledge sharing and technical support to drive the adoption of scalable computing and AI solutions within RIs.

By developing cutting-edge DEPs, RI-SCALE aims to maximize the impact of research data across multiple scientific domains.
