Euro-BioImaging is proud to be part of the Horizon Europe-funded CanSERV project, along with 28 Euro-BioImaging Nodes and other project partners. The canSERV consortium, led by BBMRI ERIC, will make innovative services available to cancer researchers, therefore supporting the goals of the EU Cancer Mission.
Through CanSERV's Open Call for Service Provision on “Advancing Personalised Oncology”, cancer researchers in and outside the EU are invited to apply for free access to cutting edge transnational services with user projects addressing either of the two challenges: A) Data-driven treatment selection for localised tumours with multiple patient derived data types to support novel treatment and diagnostics, or B) Precision treatment guidance for metastatic cancer, especially colorectal cancer, based on multiple sources.
Users are invited to apply for a combination of services provided by the 13 Infrastructures partners in canSERV, ideally across different infrastructures and service domains, in order to account for the intended multi-modal data approach of this call. The multi-dimensional data generated from these will later on also be fed into federated data spaces to enable access, use, reuse and sharing of cancer-related data according to FAIR principles. This will allow to accelerate the possibilities for cross-European federated analyses of cancer-related data.
User applications are welcome until April 25th, 2023.
Additional calls for cancer related user projects will be launched during the next months, after the final, more user friendly version of the catalogue of services and application management system is delivered.
The first of these calls, with no restrictions on topics and/or types of requested services, is expected to be launched in May and it will be a continuously open call with periodic evaluation of received applications.
28 out of the 35 Euro-BioImaging Nodes are providing services in canSERV, spanning from biological to preclinical to human imaging services, and these services will be available free of charge. Stay tuned to get more information on the next calls and related opportunities!
