How Euro-BioImaging tools support FAIR data upload to BioImage Archive
There’s a new marine sample dataset on the BioImage Archive, thanks to Tina Wiegand and her colleagues, part…
After Euro-BioImaging's participation at the EACR 2024 in Rotterdam, Dr. Daniela Aviles, Scientific Project Manager at the Bio-Hub, visited the Erasmus Optical Imaging Centre (OIC) located at Erasmus MC. As part of the Advanced Light Microscopy Node in Rotterdam, the OIC focuses on the advancement and application of various optical imaging modalities.

Vision and Expertise
The team provides service in quantitative techniques and time-lapse imaging to study living cells. With extensive experience in molecular biology, tissue culture, cell biology and drug testing, the OIC centre offers high-resolution intracellular imaging for a wide range of research projects. Highlights of their imaging techniques and analysis tools include:
Some of their signature instruments are:
Training and Education
Comprehensive training at the OIC is tailored for researchers at all levels, from first user training to advanced imaging technique development. Among their educational activities, the facility runs imaging courses for bachelor, master and PhD students. Additionally, hands-on learning and professional development opportunities are now available through Euro-BioImaging's Job shadowing and Mentoring programs.
Open for collaboration with other Nodes and welcoming external users!
The Erasmus Optical Imaging Centre is committed to fostering collaborations with other Nodes through Euro-BioImaging's Training for Node Staff.
The team is eager to welcoming new users, providing the expertise and support for scientific proposals as part of Euro-BioImaging. If you are interested to learn more about their services and collaboration opportunities have a look a their site!
