Following the success of the first two editions of the EVOLVE Cross-Node Job Shadowing Programme, we are delighted to announce the awardees of the third call.
The Euro-BioImaging EVOLVE Cross-Node Job Shadowing Programme is part of Euro-BioImaging’s training portfolio for Node staff and supports staff exchanges among Euro-BioImaging Nodes. Through these visits, participants gain hands-on experience and valuable insights from colleagues at hosting Nodes, fostering knowledge exchange, collaboration, and professional development across our community.
The program provides a unique opportunity for imaging scientists, technicians, administrative staff, and facility managers to spend time at another Euro-BioImaging Node, learning directly from peers and exploring different approaches to facility operations. Participants can deepen their knowledge of imaging technologies, workflows, and data management practices, while also gaining experience in areas such as facility management, Node administration, user support, training activities, and other essential professional skills.
This call generated strong interest among applicants seeking suitable hosts. Through a dedicated matchmaking process coordinated by the Euro-BioImaging team, 20 pairs were successfully matched, connecting staff members with hosting Nodes that best aligned with their training goals, expertise, and areas of interest.
In total 34 applications were received and following an independent and anonymized evaluation process carried out by members of the Euro-BioImaging Scientific Ambassador Programme and the Euro-BioImaging Hub Team, 24 applicants were selected.
Over the next twelve months, the awardees will visit hosting Nodes across Europe to exchange expertise, establish new professional connections, and develop collaborations that will strengthen the Euro-BioImaging community as a whole. These exchanges contribute not only to individual professional growth but also to the sharing of best practices and the harmonisation of services across our distributed research infrastructure.
We warmly congratulate all awardees and look forward to following their experiences and learning about the outcomes of their visits!
