On Thursday, March 5, the Euro-BioImaging Danish Node hosted the first DBI INFRA Advisory Board meeting. This meeting marked a key milestone for Danish BioImaging, as the infrastructure enters the final phase of its initial implementation grant, and gets ready for the next phase focused on operation and strategic developments towards sustainable and excellent research infrastructures in Denmark. We were happy to be present, represented by Director General John Eriksson and Med-Hub Section Director Linda Chaabane.
The meeting was held at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen, and included a meeting between the Advisory Board and the Executive Board focused on strategic feedback, followed by a joint session with the Advisory, Executive, and Institutional Boards to review evaluations and future strategic developments for the coming phase.
There was unanimity among the board members that “DBI-INFRA has achieved something exceptional: it has transformed Denmark’s imaging landscape into a coherent national infrastructure with growing usage, increasing international visibility, and a strategically important national image analysis core facility”.
Congratulations to the Danish BioImaging/DBI Infra team and Node community on this extremely positive evaluation! We wish you best of luck for the next steps, which will reinforce your long-term commitment to supporting cutting-edge life science research in Denmark.
