Brain evolution in continental and insular mammals
The origin and evolution of insular large mammals is key to understanding broader mammalian adaptations and selective processes, offering valuable insights relevant to other…
Euro-BioImaging was delighted to attend the ESFRI/EOSC Policy Workshop on “EOSC and Research Infrastructures: Opportunities and Strategies” in Milan from March 15-16, represented by Aastha Mathur, Head of Data Services, and Ilari Pulli, Head of Operations. At this workshop, dedicated to aligning research infrastructures’ contributions and services in the EOSC, Aastha Mathur presented successful examples of this type of engagement via use cases from the Life Sciences Connect Node (LSC Node) partners.
The LSC Node, piloted by four life sciences research infrastructure partners ELIXIR, EMBL, Instruct-ERIC and Euro-BioImaging ERIC, will serve as a thematic entry point for life science users in the EOSC, providing them with various relevant and interoperable services, as well as connection to generic services and infrastructure through the wider EOSC federation.
In her presentation, Aastha showcased several use cases built around tools and workflows developed within projects like, OSCARS FIESTA, AI4Life, etc. that feed into the EOSC framework, and have been successfully adopted by the research community.
We were glad to participate in this meeting that brings together policy and technical stakeholders to identify concrete opportunities, strategic benefits, and potential challenges for RIs wishing to structure their relationship with the EOSC Federation. Thanks so much to the organisers!
