The 12th Euro-BioImaging Board meeting took place in Amsterdam, from May 13-14, 2025, hosted by our colleagues from NL-BioImaging. It was the occasion for the Euro-BioImaging management team to meet in person with the Euro-BioImaging Board members to make strategic decisions to guide the infrastructure.

The Euro-BioImaging Board is composed of representatives of our 19 ERIC members (18 countries and EMBL). It meets twice a year to discuss and make decisions that help shape the strategy and future direction of Euro-BioImaging ERIC. Under the excellent chairing of Board Chair Professor Maddy Parsons, the Euro-BioImaging Board approved a Node Upgrade for France-BioImaging, leading to the expansion of Euro-BioImaging, reviewed and approved the updated Scientific Evaluation Policy, and discussed Euro-BioImaging participation in upcoming consortia, the European research and technology infrastructure policy landscape and our involvement in the EOSC. The Board received updates on the activities of Euro-BioImaging in the last 6 months and provided valuable input on many issues, including the upcoming activities within the EVOLVE project.

This meeting also provided the occasion to initiate conversations around long-term strategic investment in Euro-BioImaging by its members.

We want to thank our colleagues at NL-BioImaging for hosting us at the excellent venue of the Dutch National Academy of Sciences and their support with the logistics and organisation of this important meeting.
