On May 13th, 2025, Euro-BioImaging ERIC was officially welcomed as a full member of the European Network of Agroecology Living Labs and Research Infrastructures.

Originally launched through the ALL-Ready and AE4EU projects, the European Network of Agroecology Living Labs and Research Infrastructures is now being further developed under the Agroecology Partnership framework. Its goal is to serve as a platform to connect key actors and stakeholders across Europe, fostering knowledge exchange and supporting the co-creation of agroecological innovations through multi-stakeholder collaboration at multiple scales.

Euro-BioImaging’s integration into the Network reaffirms its active commitment to the European Commission’s policy priorities and strategic mission, particularly those advancing the agroecological transition, the development of sustainable and resilient food systems, and climate-smart agriculture.

As a leading European Research Infrastructure, Euro-BioImaging is well positioned to contribute cutting-edge imaging technologies and interdisciplinary expertise to support research, innovation, and multi-actor engagement, key pillars of the EU’s vision for a green and just transformation of the agri-food sector.

Euro-BioImaging's participating in the Network aligns with and bridges to our involvement in other projects and initiatives in this field, including:

  • AgroSERV, where Euro-BioImaging through its Nodes provides open access to imaging expertise and technologies for research projects in the agroecology domain
  • Plant Imaging Expert Group, where Euro-BioImaging brings together its technology experts with researchers from the wider plant imaging community for exchange, collaboration, and co-creation
  • RE-IMAGINE-CROPS project, where Euro-BioImaging with the participating Nodes and other project partners develops advanced new imaging technologies specifically for agroecological applications.
