The 48th FEBS Congress (‘FEBS 2024’), titled ‘Mining Biochemistry for Human Health and Well-Being’, took place in Milan from June 29 to July 3, 2024, hosted by the Italian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
In collaboration with EU-OPENSCREEN, Instruct-ERIC and INFRAFRONTIER, Euro-BioImaging presented how scientists can advance their research and fund the access to their facilities. During the special session titled “New Opportunities for Researchers – Research Infrastructures in Imaging, Structural Biology, Human Disease Modeling, and Compound Screening,” fruitful discussions were had in how to access funding via EC project open calls, how scientific institutions outside Europe may apply as an ERIC member, training to researchers and internship opportunities.
Engaging with the international research community and fostering a more inclusive and diverse scientific environment are core values or research infrastructures. By working together, RIs can create a collaborative ecosystem that supports scientific innovation on a larger scale. These discussions are vital for fostering interdisciplinary innovation, enabling global participation, enhancing funding opportunities and providing specialized training.
