Euro-BioImaging mourns the loss of an important member of the international imaging community and an active advocate for imaging core facilities.

Spencer Shorte was Head of the Center for Technological Resources and Research and the Photonic BioImaging platform (UTechS) at Institut Pasteur, part of France-BioImaging. He was also deeply involved in Global BioImaging, participating in the annual Exchange of Experience Conferences and supporting the international network with his infinite wealth of experience in imaging and beyond.

Euro-BioImaging will remember Spencer’s unbounding energy and enthusiasm as well as his important contributions to the international imaging community. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family and colleagues.
