Join us for the fourth Euro-BioImaging User Forum: “Fighting Infectious Diseases”

Published October 6, 2023

Euro-BioImaging is organizing a fourth online User Forum on Thursday, October 6, 2022 from 14:00-17:00 CEST. The topic is “Fighting Infectious Diseases.” This event will highlight the importance of cutting-edge imaging technologies in support of pandemic preparedness, finding treatments and understanding the underlying biology of infectious agents. We will showcase the specific expertise available at our Nodes across Europe through case studies presented in tandem with the research community.

Program:

Keynote speakers from the biological and biomedical imaging communities will speak about imaging in infectious diseases. The second part of the event will be dedicated to cutting-edge research carried out on infectious disease at Euro-BioImaging Nodes.

Keynote speakers:

  • Ann-Marie Chacko, Duke-NUS Medical School, “A role for in vivo imaging in infectious disease: driving drug discovery by monitoring treatment response”
  • Cristina Risco Ortiz, Cell Structure Laboratory, CNB-CSIC, “Imaging viral infections: Identifying new targets for antiviral treatments”

Who should attend:

Researchers from both academia or industry, Master’s and PhD students, post-doctoral fellows, anyone involved in infectious diseases research and interested in the potential of biological and biomedical imaging technologies to boost this research.

Registration:

Registration is open to all and free of charge. Please register by October 5th.
