Shape the future of AI in research

Published March 13, 2026

The AI in Science Working Groups (AISWGs), organised by the SCIANCE project, of which Euro-BioImaging is a contributing partner, as part of the EU’s RAISE initiative, are now open for participation. These 10 thematic groups convene experts in key scientific domains (Astronomy and Fundamental Physics, Materials Science, Life Sciences, Earth Sciences, Social Sciences and Humanities) and in AI-related topics (AI Research and Experimental Design, Data Science and Advanced Analytics, Open Science and Trustworthy AI, AI and Computing Infrastructures, Industry, Innovation and Frugal AI).  Within this context, Euro-BioImaging is engaged with gathering input from the Life Sciences research community to ensure that Life Science perspectives are well represented within the European AI-in-science agenda. Therefore, we really appreciate your interest to contribute to these exciting working groups!

Why Participate?

  • Influence research and innovation priorities in AI for science.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary workshops and co-creation activities.
  • Contribute to consensus-driven outputs and the European Strategic Research & Innovation Agenda (SRIA) for AI.
  • Share and leverage your knowledge, data, and methods.
  • Disseminate results within your professional networks.

Expected Commitment

AISWG members are expected to participate in a limited number of online meetings (2 per year) and to assist in one in-person workshop. Members might receive additional requests for (asynchronous) consultations and document reviews.
