Warm welcome to Euro-BioImaging’s new Scientific Ambassadors

Published April 4, 2025

In early 2024 the first cohort of Euro-BioImaging Scientific Ambassadors was onboarded. Twelve highly enthusiastic researchers were chosen to represent Euro-BioImaging and raise awareness of imaging in Europe, a mission implemented with a variety of different activities. The Scientific Ambassador programme, an idea envisioned by Beatriz Serrano-Solano from the Euro-BioImaging Bio-Hub, had become a reality. Little did the whole Euro-BioImaging Hub Team know how popular the Ambassadors Programme would become in the coming year. The fantastic work of the first Scientific Ambassadors cohort who participated in nearly 30 outreach activities in 10 countries certainly played a major role. The whole effort was enabled due to the support from our EVOLVE project and the careful work of the Scientific Ambassadors Task Force representing all three Euro-BioImaging Hub sites.

A few months ago, the Scientific Ambassadors Task Force selected the most highly motivated Ambassadors  out of 78 applications for the Scientific Ambassadors 2025 cohort. Eleven bright and passionate scientists from eight countries have been chosen to help fly the Euro-BioImaging flag high for another season.

Meet our Scientific Ambassadors 2025

On Friday 4th of April the Euro-BioImaging Hub Team including the Directorate together with the previous Scientific Ambassadors cohort will welcome the 2025 cohort in a highly interactive onboarding meeting. The new cohort will receive a warm welcome with recent updates from the Euro-BioImaging network to spark ideas on their future activities. In addition, they will share their stories and expectations and lastly they will exchange experience with the previous cohort in breakout rooms. We hope that such a gathering will equip the new cohort with useful overviews and practical tools to start their new roles smoothly and strong. Welcome onboard!
