We were delighted to take part in the 21st European Molecular Imaging Meeting (EMIM), held in Ljubljana, Slovenia, from March 24–27, 2026. The conference brought together a vibrant community of researchers, innovators, and professionals, creating a dynamic space for exchange and collaboration in molecular imaging.
As Euro-BioImaging, we were proud to host a booth throughout the event, where we had the opportunity to connect with many scientific visitors. It was a pleasure to engage in inspiring discussions, share insights about our services, and explore potential collaborations with colleagues from across Europe and beyond.
A special highlight for us was celebrating the success of our Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) member Dr. Simon Cherry, who received the ESMI Award 2026. It was an honor to meet him in person during the conference and to congratulate him on this well-deserved achievement.

We were also very pleased to enjoy excellent talks from our scientific ambassador Claudia Victoria Benke and former ambassador Christian Dullin and many of our Nodes. Their presentations attracted great interest and reflected the high level of expertise within our community.

At the Med Hub, our colleagues Dario Livio Longo and Francesco Gammaraccio made notable contributions. Dario presented the opportunities offered by the foundingGIDE project during the Standardisation Study Group session, contributing to important discussions on upcoming standardisation initiatives. Francesco presented a poster on the developed XNAT-PIC tool under EVOLVE project, an open-source solution for improving the sharing, annotation, and processing of multimodal imaging datasets in preclinical research, highlighting new features supporting optical and photoacoustic imaging management.

Overall, EMIM 2026 was an inspiring and rewarding experience. We are grateful for the many meaningful exchanges and look forward to continuing these conversations and collaborations in the future.
