Following the continued success of the Scientific Ambassadors programme, Euro-BioImaging is delighted to welcome its 2026 cohort. Building on the strong foundation laid by previous years, the programme continues to grow as a dynamic platform for enthusiastic researchers to promote imaging technologies and foster community engagement across Europe.
Since its launch in early 2024, the initiative has attracted increasing interest from scientists eager to contribute to outreach, training, and networking activities. The dedication and creativity of past cohorts have significantly expanded the programme’s visibility, with ambassadors leading a wide range of initiatives—from local workshops and conference presentations to international collaborations. Their efforts, supported by the EVOLVE project and coordinated by the Scientific Ambassadors Task Force across all Euro-BioImaging Hub sites, have been instrumental in shaping the programme into what it is today.
Earlier this year, the Task Force carefully reviewed a highly competitive pool of applications to select the 2026 cohort. The chosen ambassadors represent a diverse and motivated group of researchers from across Europe, all committed to advancing awareness and access to imaging technologies within their communities and beyond.
On March 31st and April 1st, the Euro-BioImaging Hub Team, together with members of the Directorate and representatives from previous cohorts, officially welcomed the new ambassadors during a two-day interactive onboarding event.
The programme combined informative sessions with opportunities for discussion and exchange. The new ambassadors were introduced to the latest developments at Euro-BioImaging, providing them with insights and inspiration for their upcoming activities. They also had the chance to present their backgrounds, share their motivations, and outline their expectations for the year ahead.
A key highlight of the onboarding was the interaction with former ambassadors, who shared their experiences, practical advice, and success stories. These exchanges aimed to equip the new cohort with valuable tools and perspectives to confidently begin their roles.
With energy, fresh ideas, and a strong sense of community, the 2026 Scientific Ambassadors are now ready to embark on their journey. We look forward to seeing their contributions unfold and to another exciting year of outreach and impact. Welcome onboard!
