Spatial transcriptomics is rapidly transforming the way researchers study complex biological systems. To explore the latest developments in this fast-moving field, Euro-BioImaging is organising a Special Edition Virtual Pub dedicated to Spatial Transcriptomics on Friday, June 12, from 13:00–15:00 CEST. The event will bring together experts from academia and industry to showcase cutting-edge spatial omics technologies, innovative workflows, and emerging applications.
At this event, Karsten Rippe, Division of Chromatin Networks, German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) and BioQuant, Heidelberg, introduces the MULTI-SPACE platform, highlighting the coordinated access it offers to more than 10 spatially resolved technologies spanning transcriptomics, antibody-based proteomics, and metabolomics.
Like all Euro-BioImaging Virtual Pubs, this online event offers an open forum for the imaging community to exchange ideas, discover new technologies, and discuss practical applications with experts from across disciplines.
Title: MULTI-SPACE - A Cross-Institutional Platform for Spatially Resolved Omics By: Karsten Rippe, Division of Chromatin Networks, German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) and BioQuant, Heidelberg
MULTI-SPACE is a distributed, cross-institutional hub for spatial omics within the Health + Life Science Alliance Heidelberg Mannheim (https://www.health-life-sciences.de/multispace/). It connects core facilities and research groups across Heidelberg University, DKFZ, EMBL, and the Medical Faculties of Heidelberg and Mannheim, drawing on each partner's complementary strengths in technology development, single-cell infrastructure, sequencing and imaging, and clinical translation. Karsten's talk introduces the platform and the coordinated access it offers to more than 10 spatially resolved technologies spanning transcriptomics, antibody-based proteomics, and metabolomics. A distinctive capability currently being developed is the implementation of a growing set of multimodal workflows that integrate two or three different omics readouts within the same tissue section across institutions.
