The visit began with two presentations delivered by John to the team, offering an overview of the history, mission, and strategic vision of Euro-BioImaging. These sessions set the stage for further in-depth discussions throughout the day.

Following the presentations, John toured the facilities both at The University and Polytechnic Hospital La Fe and La Fe Health Research Institute. This included visits to the advanced medical imaging infrastructure used in research projects, such as the full-body PET/MR 3T system, imaging prototype technologies, our 3D printing facilities, and the HPC Data Center.

The day concluded with a smaller, focused meeting involving John Eriksson, the node coordinator Dr. Luis Martí-Bonmatí, and members of the node team. This session proved particularly valuable for discussing next steps in the development of the node as a multi-site infrastructure, as well as topics related to the evolution of EUCAIM as a European Digital Infrastructure Consortium (EDIC).

Overall, the visit was highly enriching and reinforced their shared commitment to advancing imaging research and collaboration within the Euro-BioImaging network.
